As winter approaches, my obsession with ankle boots has returned. This time round with a more rocker feel - studs, chains, buckles etc (this obviously excludes the Louboutins but I love them too much not to include them).
From top left:
Kurt Geiger, Chloe, Intermix online, Christian Louboutin, Brownsfashion, Chloe, YSL, Cammila Skovgaard, Betty Jackson, Christian Louboutin, Alexander Wang
Erin Wasson -> an American model, occasional designer (designed a collection for RVCA) and occasional stylist (Previously for Alexander Wang).
Having graced the pages and covers of numerous magazines such as French, German, Spanish and Australian Vogue, Allure, Esquire, Elle etc and walking the runway for Armani, Balenciaga, Karl Lagerfeld etc, a certain degree of FASHION ICON labeling seems only natural... Slight girl crush maybe? mmm could just be envy, haven't quite made up my mind yet.
Either way, I like her style - especially her array of headpieces!
With an recent MA distinction from Central Saint Martins, a Harrods design award and a merit award from Vauxhall Fashion Scout (Last year's winner was William Tempest) under his belt, David Koma is certainly the graduate designer to follow. - Note Christopher Kane received a Harrods design award in 2006 - could Koma follow in his footsteps?
His A/W collection shows a magnitude of talent.
Koma combines the general aspects we've seen on the catwalk such as tulip- dresses, structure and tassels with his own innovative and edgy flair.
My favourite aspect of this collection is the detailing Koma has added onto otherwise plain outfits. For example, Koma details a low-cut black tank and body-con leather skirt with an incredible knotted silver piece immediately adding edge and modernism.
